Leprechaun Sensory Jar Let's bottle the luck of the Irish in a soothing St. Patrick's Day craft! Sensory toys have a variety of positive impacts on an overstimulated child. In this case, it can help reduce tension and have a calming effect on autistic kiddos. What you'll need: - Large mason jar or water bottle - Clear glue - Water - Green food coloring - Glitter - Superglue or hot glue - Construction paper - Scissors Instructions: 1. Prepare your jar or water bottle. If there is a sticker on your water bottle, you can remove it with warm white vinegar or room-temperature rubbing alcohol. 2. Fill the jar halfway with clear glue before adding in your glitter. We recommend gold to fit the St. Patrick's Day theme! 3. Fill the remainder of the container with water, leaving some space at the top to allow your liquids to move around. 4. Add a few drops of green food coloring to create your leprechaun's green outfit. 5. Close the container with its lid and shake to mix the water, food coloring, glue, and glitter. 6. Once you're happy with the amount of glitter and the color, you can use your glue to seal the lid onto the container. 7. To create your leprechaun belt, cut a strip of black construction paper long enough to wrap about the center of your jar. Then, cut a square out of yellow construction paper with the middle portion removed to form the buckle. 8. Glue the belt around your mason jar first. Then, glue the buckle over the section where the two ends of the belt meet. 9. Once your leprechaun's belt is dry, your kiddo can enjoy their St. Patrick's Day sensory jar!Download Now!
