Personalized ABA Therapy

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy that helps autistic children build meaningful skills, such as communication, social interaction, daily living and independence. It also reduces behaviors that are harmful or get in the way of learning. At BPI, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) writes each child’s program around their individual needs. Therapy can take place in our clinics, at home, or with support at school.

Most insurance plans require a formal autism diagnosis before they will cover ABA therapy. If your child hasn’t been diagnosed yet, BPI offers autism diagnostic evaluations using the ADOS-2, a standardized assessment for autism. For many families, a diagnosis is the first step to getting covered services, and our team can help you understand what your insurance requires.

BPI provides ABA therapy for autistic children from early childhood through the school-age years, and each program is matched to your child’s stage of development. For younger children, BPI also offers Apple Academy, a play-based daytime program for ages 2–7 that serves as an alternative to traditional preschool. The number of ABA therapy hours is different for every child and depends on their individual needs and goals. At BPI, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) completes an initial assessment of your child’s strengths, communication, daily living skills, and areas where support may help, then recommends a treatment plan. Your BCBA also takes school, other therapies, family routines, and time for play and rest into account.
