Ladybug Strawberries Recipe Why not make a sweet treat that allows your autistic kiddo to also work on their fine motor skills? These strawberry ladybugs are perfect for an afternoon snack that you can enjoy together! Ingredients:
- Strawberries
- Milk chocolate
- Candy eyes (optional) Instructions:
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Help your kiddo prep your clean strawberries by cutting the leafy green top off each one. 3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt your milk chocolate. Microwave in 30-second intervals, mixing to ensure it does not burn. 4. Use a fork to dip the tip of each of your strawberries into the melted chocolate. Set them on the baking sheet to cool as you coat each of your strawberries.
5. Once you have finished dipping your strawberries, pour the remaining melted chocolate into a plastic bag. Melt more chocolate as needed to fill your bag.
6. Seal your plastic bag of chocolate and cut the tip of the bottom off to form a piping bag.
7. Help your kiddo pipe a line in the middle of each strawberry to form the wings of your ladybug. Continue to form the wings by piping tiny dots onto each of the wings, creating your ladybug's iconic spots.
8. Add a small amount of chocolate to the back of your candy eyes and attach them to the tip of each strawberry. If you are not using candy eyes, you can skip this part.
9. Allow your strawberry ladybugs to set and enjoy!Download Now!
