Moving to a New House

Moving to a new house can be a confusing, tough time for Autistic individuals. Share this social story to help them understand what to expect during this time of transition.

Moving to a New House My family will be moving to a new house!
This means we'll be taking our belongings and putting them into a new house, like our:
Furniture
Books
Clothes
Toys
I'll get a new room in our new house, that I can decorate and play in.
It will be different from my old room, but I can fill it with new, fun memories.
To prepare for moving, we need to carefully pack all of our items into boxes so it's easier to move.
Then those boxes will be taken to our new house where we can unpack them.
Our new house might be different than our old one it could be:
Bigger or
Smaller
It might also get decorated a little differently than our old house, which allows us to get creative with our new space.
Moving may seem scary at first, but I can talk to my family about it and plan for all the exciting things we'll do in our new house!Download Now!
