Asking Someone To Play

Playing can be more fun with friends! Share this social story with your kiddo to help them understand how to ask someone to play.

Asking Someone to Play Playing with others is a lot of fun.
If I see someone I want to play with, I first need to ask if they would like to play with me.
I can walk over to them and say, "Hi!"
After they respond, I can ask them if they would like to play together.
If they are already playing with a toy, I might ask them to play with the toy, too.
Or, if I want them to play with my toy, I can offer it to them.
If they say, "Yes!" we can take turns playing with our toys.
Sometimes, people don't want to play with others at that moment, and that's okay.
If they say, "No, I don't want to play."
I can say, "Okay." Then I can continue to play with my toys or ask someone new if they would like to play.Download Now!
