Paper Plate Honey Bees A simple, hands-on craft that creates the perfect opportunity to practice fine motor skills and teach your autistic kiddo about one of the most important pollinators! What you'll need:
Paper plate
Yellow paint
Black paint
Paintbrush
Black pipe cleaners
Googly eyes
Glue Instructions:
Paint one of your plates yellow for your bee's body and set it aside to dry.
Take one of your white plates and assist your kiddo with cutting out two wings.
Once your yellow plate is dry, use a paintbrush or your fingers to paint the stripes on your bee.
Glue the wings to the back of the plate so they pop up on the side. You can play around with the position of your bee's wings depending on where they are facing.
Glue your googly eyes to the yellow plate to create your bee's eyes. Optionally, you can take a black marker to draw a small mouth.
Finally, take your pipe cleaners and cut them to create your bee's antenna. Bend them or twist them into a swirl, then glue the end to the back of your honey bee!Download Now!
