Apple Shaped Dog Treat Recipe Our canine companions provide various benefits for our autistic kiddos, including serving as a calming focus, increasing social skills, and simply offering special, unconditional love. This easy recipe is an opportunity to practice following directions and make a yummy treat for their favorite four-legged friend! Ingredients:
- 3 cups uncooked oats or oat flour
- 1/2 cup applesauce (unsweetened)
- 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
- Banana - Egg Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet.
2. Mash your banana into a bowl and set aside.
3. If using oats, place oats in a blender to create oat flour. You may need about 1/2 cup more oats to produce the 3 cups.
4. Once you have oat four, place it into the bowl with your mashed banana. Add in your remaining ingredients and mix to combine.
5. Flour your surface and roll your dough out until it is about 1/2 inch in thickness. Add more flour as needed to allow for rolling. Note: You can use all-purpose flour for this step.
6. Using your cookie cutter, we used an apple-shaped one, cut treats out of your dough, and lay them on the baking sheet. Note: You can use larger or smaller cookie cutters depending on the size of your furry pal.
7. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Allow them to cool completely before sharing them with your favorite pup!Download Now!
