Get your kiddo excited about reading with a cute Thanksgiving twist! Our craft is a great way to practice fine motor skills and keep your place in a good book.

Hand Turkey Bookmark: Get your kiddo excited about reading with a cute Thanksgiving twist! Our hand turkey bookmarks serve a double purpose: they are great for making storytime fun and provide an excellent opportunity to practice fine motor skills. This activity involves coloring, cutting with scissors, and dexterity as they use their creativity to decorate their bookmarks! What you'll need: Construction paper Crayons, colored pencils, or markers Scissors Popsicle sticks Glue Craft foam (optional) Instructions: 1. To form your hand turkeys, trace your kiddo's hand on construction paper. 2. Assist your kiddo with cutting out their hand turkey using child-friendly scissors. 3. Time to color! Let your kiddo's imagination run wild as they color their turkey and bring it to life. You'll also want to color your popsicle stick if it is not already dyed. 4. Place your turkey over your popsicle stick so that 1/3 of the bottom of the turkey is overlapping the popsicle stick. Add glue to that portion of the popsicle stick and attach your turkey to its popsicle stick. 5. As the turkey dries, decorate the rest of the popsicle stick with any craft foam or construction paper. Feel free to add any sequins as well. Tip: Avoid using glitter, as it can get messy within the pages of books. 6. Once your hand turkey bookmark is dry, it's ready to hold your kiddo's place in all their favorite books!Download Now!
