Turn Taking

Our social story highlights turn-taking which is important for autistic children to practice as it helps with their social skills.

Turn Taking: Sometimes I need to wait my turn to do something.
I might have to wait my turn while: Standing in line, Playing with a toy, Speaking in class.
Sometimes I get to go first, but other times I might not.
I can wait my turn patiently by keeping my hands to myself while the other person takes their turn.
If they need help, I can help them while I wait for my turn too.
Waiting for my turn might be hard, but it can be fun to watch someone else take their turn because it makes them happy.
Taking turns shows others I care about them and want them to have fun too.Download Now!
