Daylight Savings Time

Is your kiddo confused about why we turn the clocks back? This fun, simple social story helps explain Daylight Savings Time.

Daylight Savings Time Twice a year parts of the world will move their clocks forward or backward by one hour.
This is called Daylight Savings Time.
In the Spring, we move our clocks forward one hour so there's more sun throughout our day. This typically happens in March.
The time on our microwave might be wrong and say it's 10am when the phone says it's 11am. We can easily fix the time on any of our devices that did not change.
In the Fall, we move our clocks back one hour to have earlier sunrises. This typically happens in November.
Now if the microwave says 10am, the phone might say 9am before we fix it.
When the time changes it might affect how my body feels at first. How I sleep can be different for a while, I might:
Have trouble falling asleep
Wake up sleepier
Wake up before I need to
These feelings are only temporary and my body will get used to the time change.
My family can let me know when Daylight Savings Time is coming so we can prepare for more or less sunlight together!Download Now!
