Personal Space

Our social story teaches autistic kiddos the importance of respecting the personal space of others.

Personal Space: When someone asks for "personal space," it means I am too close to them.
This can be when we are standing or sitting near each other.
This can also be when I touch someone without asking.
If I want to get close to someone for a hug or a high five, I should ask first.
If they say "No." then I will make sure to give them personal space.
I should also give people personal space when: I'm in line, I walk past them, I want their attention.
If I want someone's attention, I should politely: Say their name, Say, "Excuse me," Raise my hand.
Whenever I am around someone, I will remember that everyone needs personal space.Download Now!
