Sunshine Sound Makers
Create the sounds of summer with nothing but a toilet paper roll, parchment paper, and a few other sunny details. Our Sunshine Sounds Maker craft provides your autistic kiddo with a silly sensory sound maker and an excellent opportunity to practice fine motor skills. What you'll need:
- Toilet paper rolls
- Scissors
- Parchment paper
- Construction paper
- Glue
- Pen or hole puncher - Markers (optional) Instructions:
1. Create the sky on your toilet paper roll by covering the roll using a blue marker or construction paper. If using construction paper, measure and cut the paper needed and then glue it to the roll. Set aside and allow it to dry.
2. To create the sun for your sound maker, draw a circle or half circle on your yellow construction paper. Draw a few smaller triangles or think strips, creating your sun rays. 3. Cut out your shapes and set aside. Feel free to cut out any other shapes you want to add to your sound maker, like butterflies or clouds. 4. Once your rolls are dry, use a pen or hole puncher to create two holes in your toilet paper roll. Be mindful of where you place the holes to ensure you still have space for your sun and its rays. 5. Glue your sun and its rays onto your toilet paper roll and allow them to dry.
6. Cut a square of parchment paper that is larger than the opening of your toilet paper roll. Wrap it over one of the openings, securing it with a rubber band. It's time to play!Download Now!
