Snowflake Garland Let's make it snow indoors, but don't worry, this snow won't melt! Your autistic kiddo can practice fine motor skills and creativity as they cut up snowflakes as unique as them in this fun winter craft. What You'll Need:
Construction or tissue paper
Scissors
String Instructions:
To create your snowflakes, fold your paper diagonally and cut off the exposed triangle so you are left with a square sheet of paper.
Take the two longest corners of your folded triangle and fold again to join together, creating a smaller triangle.
Take one of your long ends of the triangle and fold it down diagonally so that the ends do not meet.
Take the other corner and fold diagonally over the first, creating a small arrow shape.
Use your scissors to cut off the bottom points of your arrow, leaving you with the top triangle.
Time to get creative! Cut out pieces of your triangle to create your individual snowflakes and repeat for as many snowflakes as you would like on your garland.
Once you have all of your snowflakes, use your string to tie the top and bottom of each snowflake together. You can make some pieces of string longer than others and get creative with your snowflake placements.
Use tape or command strips to hang your garland from your curtains or across your fireplace!Download Now!
