Pirate Hook We all know no pirate is complete without a hook! This craft is a great opportunity to practice fine motor skills and will have your autistic kiddo saying, "It's the pirate's life for me!" What you'll need:
- Plastic or paper cup
- Black and yellow construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue or tape
- Pipe cleaners or plastic hangers
- Aluminum foil Instructions:
1. Cut the excess off of your black construction paper so it can wrap around your cup. Using the excess paper, trace a circle using the top of your cup and cut the circle out.
2. Tape or glue the black construction paper to the cup.
3. Cut a thin strip of your yellow construction paper that will wrap around the opening of your cup.
4. Tape or glue the yellow paper on your black construction paper. This will form the "gold" detail on your pirate hook.
5. If using pipe cleaners, form a c-shape with a neck as the mold for your hook. If using a plastic hanger, safely remove the top of the hanger so you are only left with the hooking piece.
6. Using your aluminum foil, wrap your pipe cleaner or hanger to create your shiny hook.
7. Create a hole on the top of your cup and insert your shiny hook. Place your hand in the cup to make sure your hook fits and go, "Arg, matey!" just like a pirate!Download Now!
