Helping your family thrive at home.
Children with autism have often have difficulty learning from their natural environment, leading maladaptive behaviors to be unknowingly reinforced. When natural positive and negative feedback received in day to day life is not enough to shape their behavior, communication and social skills, in-home in-home services are a great next step. Having an individualized program crafted by a highly qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Speech Language Pathologist or Occupational Therapist can make many positive changes in your child’s learning, as well as equipping your family with tools and methods that allow your child to thrive.
- Increasing appropriate behaviors such as social skills & staying on task.
- Teaching new skills including communication (verbal & non-verbal), social skills, and life skills such as toilet training, dressing/ undressing and vocational skills).
- Generalizing speech and appropriate behaviors in all environments such as classroom, public, and home-based settings.
- Reducing interfering behaviors such as self-injurious or self-stimulatory behaviors.
Why in-home Therapy?
Our clinic programs offer intensive skill-building and behavior-teaching programs that are valuable to your child’s growth, but our in-home services give your child a chance to put those skills into practice in their own environment. Providing in-home services also allows us to create individualized programs, schedules, and methods that will work for your family. We always offer extensive parent and family training, so that you feel comfortable continuing to practice skills even when our team isn’t there to guide you. Our therapists are trained to provide fun and effective learning strategies for your child, because intensive therapy should be focused and fun. Having an effective professional will be so much fun for your child that he or she will run to the door to greet them!
