Enriching the lives of people with disabilities through meaningful recreation experiences.

For more than 45 years, we have ensured equitable access to leisure and recreation activities for people of all ages and abilities.


The Springfield Park District provides recreation programs and leisure services for residents with disabilities. Inclusion and specialized programs are available.

Champaign-Urbana Special Recreation (CUSR) was formed through a cooperative agreement with the Champaign and Urbana Park Districts to provide recreation programs and leisure services for residents with disabilities.


Recognizing the need for quality adapted programming for individuals in the Edwardsville area, the Special Needs Adapted Programs help individuals gain confidence, promote independence and responsibility, socialize and work with others, as well as nurture a healthy and active lifestyle.


The Danny G. McBeth Recreation Center and Annex provides social opportunities through quality programs that challenge, support and teach leisure skills for the citizens of Austin with differing abilities.
