Johna joined BPI as Lead Community Engagement Specialist. Johna and her family have lived in the McHenry county area for the last 19 years, and she plans to bring BPI services to more families in the county. Johna and her husband Vince have 3 children, their youngest (19yo) was diagnosed with autism, and their daughter's journey, it has cemented their commitment to helping other families living with autism.
Early in her career, she worked in call center management for over 20 years, but when autism entered her family, she switched her career focus.
Johna began volunteering for a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower and provide resources to autistic families. She continues as Illinois State Coordinator for TACA (The Autism Community In Action).
Johna has worked in the field of ABA since 2012. When her daughter started ABA therapy in 2004, a time before the state mandate passed and ABA agencies were available, Johna sought skilled Master level students for her daughter's ABA team. This began her advocacy for bringing quality ABA therapy for in-home services.
Johna is passionate to make sure every family has access to quality autism service providers for lasting outcomes, and excited to be on the BPI team.
